Bio :
Lee Swain and Dan Liles both grew up in the beautiful city of Sheffield, England. They spent most of their youth watching movies, reading comics and playing video games. Eventually they were to meet each other at college where they had both gone to study art and design , due to their shared interest they soon became good friends.

They then spent they next few years hanging around at student parties drinking and not taking drugs. It was during many late nights of not taking drugs (and especially not marijuana) that the would come up with many idea's for movie screenplays and comic books. Many of these idea's never really went anywhere but one such screenplay (at that time named Drivin') gave birth to a set of characters (Art Hooper, Seth Neary and Kurt Holland) that stayed with them both for the following seven years. These characters were a group of early twenty something geek's who did very little other than read comics, play video games and smoke weed. They were a lot like Dan and Lee themselves (except for the weed because Dan and Lee never did drugs).

Lee later moved to the United States and got married while Dan stayed in Sheffield. But they continued to work together and they later adapted the characters into an attempt to create an animated TV show pilot named Flat Life that they hoped to sell to a television network but after a year of hard work (and a very limited amount of interest from television producers) they realised that they didn't really have the time or money to finish the project in it's current state. But they were unable to let these now beloved characters die, so Flat Life was reborn as a web comic. Both Lee and Dan had spent many years working on comic books together (although they never actually finished one) so the web comic format was perfectly suited to them. And within a month Flat Life was reborn on the internet. Since then Flat Life has grown at a very respectful rate and is now celebrating it's one year anniversary.

Lee and Dan intend to continue with Flat Life until the day it becomes one of the top web comics in the world (at which point they will cash in their chips and go on vacation). And hopefully from there maybe it can return to it's roots and become a TV show and maybe even a movie.
