Again sorry for the recent lack of comics guys.

Truth is I've run into things that need my attention more than drawing comics for the internet and if it wasn't for people wanting new stuff I'd just stop.

I've kinda lost the spark for doing this, which is A) Why the comic is ending and B) Why the comic hasn't been as good or updated as faithfully. I guess it's not fair to people who enjoy Hellbound but the thing is...

I don't.

That's completely understandable.  You have to do what's right for you.  We love it, but if it's not fun for you, it'll start to translate for you and it'll suffer, so yeah, maybe it is time to close the book on Hellbound.  But, thank you for what you have given.  It has been a pleasure, and I know that that spark will hit you again one day and you'll produce again (of course, not necessarily Hellbound, but something that will challenge and engage you).

Looking forward to the next updates, and best of luck.

(I know where you're coming from, there have been a couple times where I felt like closing up shop on my comic, and I don't see myself producing it indefinitely either, so there is a likely ending to Flying Ferret, too).

Thanks for being so understanding guys.

It does suck that it's lost the fun doing it...but that's life I guess.

Yep, that's the way it is...but I have one big request, though.. when you DO start on a new project (and I know you will), PLEASE, PLEASE, let us know what is and what you're up too.  Don't ever be a stranger.

It takes a lot of work to keep a webcomic going.  And since we only receive enjoyment, instead of a steady paycheck, from the work we complete; it's understandable that when it becomes a chore, instead of fun, then it is time to move on to something else.

And not to worry, I'll stay in touch.   Take care of yourself my friend.  [[*Hug*]]

Seconded.  In spades, even.

You should do the comic more for yourself, Erik, and no one else.  As sorry as I am to see Hellbound go, it's much better for you to end it on your terms rather than get so sick of it you can't even look sideways at it without wanting to slit your wrists with the nearest sharp (or dull!) object.
I have boobs!  Will you go read my comic now?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but a longtime reader of HELLBOUND ... the lack of updates lately prompted me to come to the forum to find out what was going on, and my fears have been confirmed.  My weekly fix of HELLBOUND is gonna be taken away.  I may go into withdrawal!

I understand the situation, because like several other people on this forum, I also draw a webcomic.  (Hey, a chance for a plug!  My comic is CHIVALRY AND KNAVERY, check it out at www.chivalryandknavery.com please!  Sorry, couldn't resist ...)  Anyway, I'm hoping and guessing that, the creative urge being what it is, Erik will (after taking a break to recharge his batteries) be visited by the Muse one day, and return to drawing comics.  The creative urge is addictive.  I know that from experience.  I've written several novels --- none of them made me any money, so each time I write one, I swear I'm not going to do another.  Then I get an idea for a story, I kick it around for awhile ... next thing you know, I'm writing again.

Oh, and like some of you others have said, I especially hope we see more of Kyota.  She's a tremendously cute and fun character!

As a response to you calling yourself a jerk and all those other mean words I wanted to tell you (as I am sure every one of your true fans and devoted readers will agree) is that we all love you enough to know you are not those mean words if anything you are a genuinely nice guy. When you get around to finishing hellbound we will all read it then. till then get your life in order!!!! I demand it of you!!!!!!!!!!! Love one of your faithful and devoted readers, Christina

What? It's not like I'm planning to run you over, killing you for sport. That's an outrageous and baseless accusation!

Thanks guys.

Hehe, I'm afraid I am several mean words. Many of which I can't say in the presence of a lady.

Hey, I'm a long time reader, but have never ventured onto the forums until now.

I just wanted to say I really love Hellbound, and I'm glad it's getting what lots of web comics desperately need: satisfying closure.

So thanks for the tons of laughs and, I can't wait to see the big finale!

I'm very sad to hear Hellbound's ending soon. It's become one of my top favourites on my list of 100-odd often-read webcomics. My entire circle of friends can quote most of it verbatim, particularly the pages featuring "It's a birth-mark" and "Salt in eyes!" Ah, good times. Thanks a bunch, Mr Nault.

What I really desperately want to know is - will the comic be staying online as an archive, or will it simply vanish into the aether? If the latter, I'd just like to know so I can save it all to disk.
