Nope, nothing happened to our current home, or our old place (though it came too close for comfort for either). I actually saw the freakin' thing roll through town. It was very surreal to watch it all. I pointed it out to a woman next to me and said, "that's a tornado," and she said, "no, it's not!" And when we saw the debris flying, then she knew.
Lots of weird stories coming out of this: A house was ripped off the basement and calf was tossed in on top of the teenager taking shelter there. Both are okay. One house, the whole side was ripped off, and you could see all of the dishes in the cupboard through the exposed wall...untouched. One place they emerged from the basement to see just their table sitting there and a lamp on the table. The lamp wasn't theirs. A guy and his son were trying to take shelter in their car, but a lady motioned them to come into her house. They staggered through high winds, and when they reached the railing on the porch, they could feel the wind grab them and pull them up. It took all of the strength of the man, the boy and the woman to get them into the house.
It's unreal. Just amazes me no one in this area died out of the horrible mess.
